We are Venture Best™, the emerging technology focus group at Michael Best & Friedrich LLP, a leading Upper Midwest legal resource for entrepreneurs and emerging growth companies, and the venture capital and angel investors who fund them.  Collectively, our Venture Best professionals have over 50 years of experience working with entrepreneurs and high growth companies of all stages in Silicon Valley, Research Triangle, Los Angeles, Seattle, Chicago and Wisconsin.

Our Venture Best focus group is distinguished from other practices because many of our professionals are entrepreneurs and/or angel investors.  Collectively, our Venture Best professionals have started a half dozen companies and invested in dozens more.  As a result, we understand the unique legal needs of entrepreneurs.  We thrive in the fast-pace entrepreneurial world by combining outstanding legal skills with the flexibility, speed and business judgment to provide entrepreneurs with thoughtful legal service and advice to grow their business. 

We also recognize the cash-flow challenges most entrepreneurs face as they launch and grow their early-stage business.  While we generally charge on an hourly rate, for promising high-growth companies, we also offer a wide variety of flexible fee arrangements including deferrals, fixed costs, contingency fees and equity in lieu of cash.  Our goal is to work with the most promising entrepreneurs and high-growth companies to help them achieve their business objectives.
